Production Process of Silicon Metal
Hongshun Silicon Metal is produced through the carbothermic reduction method. High-purity silica (quartz) and reducing agents such as charcoal, petroleum coke, wood chips, and low-ash coal are smelted in a high-temperature electric furnace. Under extreme heat, silica reacts with the reducing agents to produce silicon metal.
